The current rules

Dallas's permanent Water Conservation Ordinance limits landscape irrigation to at most twice per week on days assigned by address: even addresses Sunday and Thursday, odd addresses Saturday and Wednesday. Hand watering, soaker hoses, and drip irrigation are allowed any day. Automatic sprinkler systems are required to have working rain/freeze sensors.
